Abstract

The global demand for food production is increasing, and greenhouse farming presents a sustainable solution by enabling controlled environments for plant growth. The advent of the Internet of Things (IoT) has significantly improved greenhouse management by integrating advanced sensors, communication systems, and automation. This paper reviews the development and application of IoT-based greenhouse monitoring and control systems, which help optimize resource usage, improve crop yield, and reduce human intervention. We discuss the key components of IoT systems in greenhouses, their benefits, challenges, and the future prospects of these technologies in sustainable agriculture.
